D4122 LYS Thanks for this and the red-eye, your freight operators have derestricted driver hours or you have a companion in the cab? I guess that 4 hours is enough, especially covering the line between Nelaug and Kongsberg with those severe curves and gradient changes, and plenty of brake applications. Trust the controllers gave you an easy ride through Oslo to make up for that. Best wishes! Interested to hear about what you operated at 5:13:18 just before entering the yard via the overbridge.

I'm just getting underway, here, but I'm already really impressed by the night lighting of the towns you are passing through. Fully shielded light is the only way to go. Too many places in the USA still don't get it, although it is slowly improving as new lighting goes up. Homeowners, though...pffft.

So do you skydive to offset the routine of operating a train, or do you drive trains to offset the PTSD from skydiving?

I can't even drive a car, let alone a train.
